Theatre Royal Trip

We went to see the pantomime Robinson Crusoe and the Caribbean Pirates at the Theatre Royal Newcastle-upon-Tyne. On the morning before the performance we were invited to go behind the scenes and look at the workings of a theatre. We were the 2nd school ever to have been invited to do this

We saw the control panels which give directions to the actors and technicians.

We were allowed to go on stage and see what it would feel like to perform in front of such a large audience.

It gave us a good view of this vast auditorium.

We role played being pirates on a Caribbean Island, then we had fun dressing up in some costumes.
We were able to go into  one of the boxes and look down on the stage.
