As part of our topic about shipyards, we visited A and P Tyne shipyard in Hebburn.

 

They made us feel very welcome. We had to make sure we were wearing our safety gear first! We saw the huge dry dock

We walked down into the dry dock to see this ship. Here we are walking around to the Fabrication shed and there were lots of cranes to look at. This man is showing us how he cuts around steel. There were lots of sparks!

This is a display we made in our classroom after our visit to A&P Tyne. Can you see us all wearing our safety equipment?
