The Romans

During our Romans topic we learned how the Romans fought the Celts when they invaded Britain and how they built Hadrian's Wall.

We visited the fort at Arbeia and were archaeologists discovering how to find out about the past.

 Visitors came into school (Heuristics) and we were able to handle artefacts. play games and discover more about the Romans, like how water mills work.

 On our Roman day, we prepared Roman food and had a feast lying down like the Romans did. We shared for their attention of the slaves to give us more food!

We have been busy making Roman shields, swords and brooches. We wore these on our Roman day. We practiced our Latin on the wax tablets we made. We designed and made chariots to go to the Circus Maximus.
