During our topic about Australia we have been learning about some of the animals which live there.
Here are some of the facts we have learned.

Echidna
A baby Echidna is called a pugle.
They have lots and lots of spayces.
They have big noses.
Monotreme means it is born in a egg.

Echidnas have long snouts.
They hide in sand from predits
They curl up in a ball wen they ar in danger
They are mammals
They suck milk from ther mams.
They have pawches

Koalas


Koalas are nocturnal
Koalas have blue eyes
When koalas are fully grown they are about 60cm
Koalas like to lie in the shade
Koalas have grey fur
A baby koala is called a joey
A male is called a buck and a female is a doe.

Platypus

Platpuses are mamals
The bill is soft and rubbery
The paltypus is special because it lays egg.
Mammals that lay eggs are called monotremes.
Platypuses kep ther eys shut underwater.
They go up to brethe
Platypuses have webbed feet.
They walk on the river bank.
Boy platypuses have poison in ther back legs.
Females lay eggs
